Each year the Victoria and Albert Museum produces prestigious diaries that feature the work in their collections. This year the theme of the 2023 desk diary is Visions of Nature and one of the Raymond Spurrier watercolours held in the British collection is featured as a double-page spread within the pages for August. The work, entitled ‘Mid-harvest’, can also be seen on the home page of this website. The lavishly illustrated week-to-view diary, which can be obtained from the V&A shop, features 52 illustrations of nature taken from across the V&A’s extensive and varied collection. Raymond’s painting appears alongside such illustrious names as Kenneth Rowntree, Edward McKnight Kauffer, Samuel Palmer, John Constable, William Morris, Paul Nash and Eric Ravilious.
